The Worlds, Sept. 19-27, is a rare opportunity for men and women to compete for their country, just as they do during the Olympic Games. The cyclists compete in three different disciplines including the traditional Road Race, the Individual Time Trial and the Team Time Trial. World champions are crowned in each discipline.
The UCI Worlds, organized by Union Cycliste Internationale and hosted by Richmond 2015, is truly one of the great global sporting events held annually. It is covered by more than 500 media outlets from around the world and is broadcast live to a global audience of more than 300 million people.
In addition to providing care as usual to the Richmond region, VCU Medical Center will treat the athletes and fans attending the championships. Check out Shift for Your Health.
We will post to the Parking page of this website the details of the plans, including parking, road closures, maps and directions to campus, and other transportation information, as they become available.
